How to access the Work Calendar interfaceYou can access the Work Calendar interface through View -> Work Cal in the top menu bar.
Default work calendar in GanttoGantto defaults to a 40 hour, 5 day a week work calendar (Monday through Friday, 8AM to noon, 1PM to 5PM).
Editing the Work CalendarYou can select a pre-defined work calendar or create your own work calendar using Gantto’s Work Calendar view. You can select a pre-defined work calendar using the drop down menu above the work calendar week interface. You can add new time blocks by simply clicking on a cell and dragging your mouse tip (similarly to the interface used in Google Calendar, which you may be familiar with). Note that a block can span multiple days and any amount of hours. The shortest time block that you can create is 30 minutes long. However, the minimal time increment for any block is 15 minutes. Once you’ve created a time block you can move it, resize it, or delete it all through simple mouse interactions. Click and drag the time block body to move it. Click and drag one of the time block’s borders to resize it. Click on the X symbol in the top right corner of any time block to delete it. Once you are happy with your edits you can apply the selected work calendar to your current project by simply exiting the Work Calendar view. The non working times that you just selected will be displayed using transparent vertical bars in both Gantt Chart and Resource Manager views. In the example below you can see a whose duration is of 16 hours using a standard 40 hour work week vs a modified 35 hour week (8AM to 1PM, 7 days a week). You can use undo/redo for any Work Calendar apply operation. In other words, if you’re not happy with the new work calendar you can re-load the last one used in the project by using undo.
